Hilton Shreveport

Madison was a wonderful bartender, and the drinks were delicious. We also loved the food: both the seafood platter and boudin egg rolls were great. The hotel itself is nice, though the rooms could use a little updating. The staff are warm and welcoming. We're Hilton Honors members and will definitely return.

I wouldn't recommend this hotel or stay again unless they renovate, remove the carpet, and replace the tub with a proper walk-in shower. In my opinion, the place doesn't feel fully luxurious. My room on the ninth floor, on the market street side, had a great city view and was fairly clean, and the staff conducted business without any issue. But it smelled musty, probably from the carpet, and the HVAC was loud enough to make sleep difficult. Rust spots on the tub kept me from showering, and the water wouldn't drain. That's why I gave it two stars.

Christopher is a gem, though. He can stay. The lobby is beautiful and the location is good, but that's all this hotel has going for it. We paid $240, yet the beds were awful, there was hardly any counter space, and the water pressure was pathetic. We set the air to 63 and were still sweating, so we barely slept. When we came in, there were two men standing by the front walkway and we thought they were valet. They weren't, just there for looks. At the bar, I felt ignored because we didn't drink alcohol and had to get the bartender's attention whenever we needed anything. Do better.

The service was excellent, and the staff were really friendly. The room lacked basic things like a microwave and a trash can, though. For the price, it felt overpriced for what we got. Good service, but the value didn't match the cost.
