Rad's Cozy Cottage on Canal

This was our second stay with our family of five, and we love the house enough to keep coming back. The kids love fishing from the canal dock, and the backyard feels like a little oasis, with a private pool, mini golf, and an outdoor shower. It’s the cutest beach house, with lots of rooms where the family can relax and have some privacy. The beach, market, shops, and restaurants are all a short, easy walk away. The pool area out back was our favorite place to unwind after watching the sunset at the beach. The home is cozy, beautiful, and well equipped for a stay. It was very clean and clearly cared for, with the beach and the Village so close that everything was convenient and walkable. The hosts communicated well. It was our first time in Siesta Key, and we’ll remember this vacation. I wish I could give more than five stars!

I’ve rented vacation homes all over the US, and this management team has topped my expectations with both the way the house is prepared and the service. Any question or need gets a text reply within an hour. They’re conscientious and attentive to detail. There was a welcome basket with drinks and treats, plus a binder of tips for making the most of the stay. It’s an easy five-minute walk to the beach and town, and the lodging is the best in the area. This was my second season here. I’d rent it for life if I weren’t changing my travel plans, and I’m jealous of whoever gets my spot. The 2BR/1.5BA home has a period-perfect exterior, cheerful light aqua paint, and white trim. The attached garage is packed with sports gear, including kayaks and bikes, plus beach and pool toys and accessories. The clothes and towels dryer is super fast. Inside, it’s an Instagrammer’s dream: beach-themed things around a generously sized family room, and a fully stocked kitchen with every kind of tool and appliance for all sorts of meals. The bedrooms are a nice size, with great mattresses and lots of pillows. The primary bathroom has a stand-up shower and starter shampoo and soap. At the back of the house, a neat nook by the half bath overlooks the yard, pool, and three-hole putting green. There’s also an outdoor shower and a separate outside closet for the washer.

The owners made everything easy, from booking through the visit, and were really accommodating. Our family of four loved the beautifully decorated, modern cottage and its great amenities, especially the pool. Shops, restaurants, and a market are all close by. We'd happily come back.
