Quality Inn Long Beach - Signal Hill

The rooms seemed nice and in good repair, and I would have given this place five stars based on that. I stayed several nights and extended the visit, booking two rooms and being charged two separate deposits. Checkout went smoothly, but five days later I still hadn’t received the deposits. I was told the floors, towels, linens, and beds had been damaged, which wasn’t true. I feel like the motel kept my money unfairly. I won’t stay here again and wouldn’t recommend it.

Josiah made me laugh while I was trying to find water for my bottle. He was great. Check-in was easy, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and roomy, and we had a nice stay. Thanks.

The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was really nice, especially for the price. What spoiled things was the pool. Before checking in, we asked the front desk when it closed and were given a time. We paid the deposit, got settled, and changed to go swimming, only to find it shut. At the desk, they said they’d forgotten it was closed that day. We couldn’t get a refund either. Very disappointing.

Our room and bathroom were clean, but the pool and hot tub were closed even though the front desk had told us they were open. When we called about it, nobody was able or willing to help. Breakfast was okay, with both hot and cold choices, though the room setup felt chaotic and the coffee wasn’t great. We were only stopping briefly in Signal Hill, Long Beach. The hotel is off the PCH, close to LGB airport and not far from the cruise port, and a lot of guests seemed to be cruising. The rooms open onto the parking lot, and the building sits behind a strip mall, so it wasn’t especially attractive.
