They only charged my card one day at a time because we had no idea whether Mom would need the room for one day or several. When we arrived, the man at the desk knew how uncertain things were and made that arrangement for us. Earlier, after I called about a room and mentioned we had a pet, he first said none were available, then heard how upset I was and told me he’d make space. I was floored by his kindness. Mom had been in a nursing home in Silsbee, and we’d made several trips out of town while she was ill. She survived that crisis, but a few days later she was moved to Harbor Hospice and passed peacefully on November 3rd. The clean, nice room and wonderfully cold A/C were a real comfort. Thank you to the sweet front desk staff at this little place off Highway 96. You made a very sad time easier. ❤️❤️

The rooms are older, but they were clean and air conditioned, and the staff was really friendly and helpful. I got a room the same day for the whole holiday weekend. They don’t take reservations through booking sites, so you need to stop by or call. Unlike OYO Pinewood Suites, which didn’t honor my prepaid Expedia booking, Garden Inn actually answers the phone. I’d talked with them several times. I only wished they had a pool for our long stay.

I was there for almost a week while work was being done at my house. The room was older, but very clean, with no dead roaches or anything else, and the A/C was really cold. The owners were nice, too. I’d stay there again if I needed to.

We booked rooms here for me and all my guys for about 2 months, and we love how you can pull right up to the door and kick off your boots. The place is very clean, and the owner even went out of his way to help me set up my Starlink. I can’t really say how the internet is otherwise since I bring Starlink everywhere. The blankets are thin, and there’s no breakfast, but for the price you save, you can buy thicker blankets or ask the front desk for more, and grab breakfast at McDonald’s. It’s an awesome motel for the money. Five stars from me.

The owners were friendly and welcoming, and the clean rooms are a good value. It seems like the place has improved since some of the earlier bad reviews. I’d recommend it and will come back next time I’m in the area. 😃
