Courtyard Silver Spring Downtown

I slept really well in a nice, roomy room with a clean bathroom. The water pressure and temperature were great, and the blackout curtains helped. There’s a decent-sized fridge, a coffee station, a comfy couch, and a TV you can stream on. Just log into Netflix or another service, and it logs you out at checkout, so your account won’t be left on the TV. The AC worked great and I could adjust the temperature. There’s a guest entrance from street level, which is a nice touch. Nearby are Whole Foods, a food hall, an ice cream shop, a liquor store, and a burger place downstairs. Inside, the coffee and restaurant area was welcoming when we checked in.

I was disappointed to have such a bad hotel experience in an otherwise beautiful place. The front desk associate was kind and helpful, but the room was old and the bathroom was disgusting. There was hair on the bedspread, and when I called, housekeeping brought the wrong one twice. The associate didn’t understand English. The tub was stained and dirty. I also asked about complimentary breakfast, and the front desk said it wasn’t included after checking my reservation. Nobody had told me that at check-in. I stayed 1/30/2026 - 1/31/2026. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. Never again!

The hotel’s location is great, but for 200+ a night you get average rooms, few amenities, and paid parking except on Sundays. My stay was okay until I dealt with Drew at the front desk. He really needs to learn customer service. You’re paying for a room without amenities, then paying for parking too.

The location is handy for downtown Silver Spring, with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. I stayed during the recent snowstorm, when staffing was limited. The rooms were spacious and clean. There’s a food bar with a limited menu for breakfast, lunch, and supper, but there isn’t a free breakfast buffet like most hotels offer.
