Economy Lodge

We spent about a month at Economy Lodge and had the private getaway our family needed from work and school. The place was clean and had plenty of parking. We swam, enjoyed the weather, met a few people, and exchanged numbers. It was a nice break for all of us.

There were lots of convenient stores nearby, and our room had nice things to use. We also enjoyed meeting friendly people and getting a sense of the community. My family and I loved staying at Economy Lodge Silver Springs and only wish we'd stayed longer. We'll be back as soon as we can.

My dad and I have been here nearly a month, paying $150 a week. We keep quiet and haven't had any complaints, but now we're being kicked out for no reason. When we first moved in, my dad had to kill lots of cockroaches that had made nests in our room and other rooms. I wouldn't recommend staying here. We only leave when necessary, like for work or a trip to the store.

Getting to sleep was hard, with a man pacing around my car for about two hours. There was also noise from outside, including every car racing along the highway beside the motel. The broken blinds were moldy and dirty, the floor was so dirty we had to keep our shoes on, and the shower looked too disgusting to use. When I asked for more sheets at 3 am, they resisted because the room had supposedly already been cleaned and suggested I check out. I'd already asked for new bedding after finding a cigarette in the toilet, ash on the bed and side table, and a strong smoke smell in the room. They gave me a washed comforter to replace the one with cigarette burns. The office smelled of cigarettes too, though the man told me the room didn't. I had tried to cancel within ten minutes of accidentally booking, but wasn't allowed. Half an hour later, the no vacancy sign was up, and I had to bang on the door to wake the office staff and get my room. Don't believe the other reviews. This was the worst motel I've seen.
