Holiday Inn Express Silver Springs - Ocala, an IHG Hotel

The lobby was clean and welcoming, check-in was easy after booking online, and our room was nice and very clean. We were visiting Ocala National Forest and stopped for the night when it got late. The cold shower wasn't pleasant, and I'm not sure what was going on with it. Since it was late, we didn't call the desk. We'd stay again if we're in the area, hopefully with hot water next time.

Silver Springs is just around the block, so the location worked really well for us. Breakfast was average, but enough. The hotel is quite old and needs remodeling. Service was below average because we were sent to a room that was already occupied. We walked in on a couple, thankfully fully clothed, and it was embarrassing and awkward for both families. Staff met us at the ground-floor elevator with the right key and room number.

The room was spotless, the beds and pillows were comfortable, and the shower had great water pressure. My dad and I got a warm welcome and were able to check in early. There were plenty of breakfast choices in the morning, too.

Abby and Richie went out of their way to sort out our reservation after IHG messed it up and the room we'd booked wasn't available. They were fantastic, as was the whole staff. Housekeeping was super friendly, the place was clean, and the showers were nice and hot. It was peaceful, the breakfast was perfect, and the coffee was a 10/10. We travel all year for business, and this was unlike any other hotel we've stayed at. I wish every hotel would take lessons from this location. We definitely recommend it and will stay again when we're back in town.
