Sun Plaza Motel

I didn’t stay here, but this is what happened. One woman was really nice; the older one was just rude. My husband called again and she said there was no vacancy, even though her daughter had told us there was a room. They also said they don’t allow children at the motel, despite my seeing lots of kids running around. We’d have to pay extra for two beds, and I have a friend who lives there. The rooms look like a bomb went off. $1400 for a bad-looking room with two beds? That place should be condemned.

The place is dirty, with trash everywhere, and homeless people lying around outside. The fence is falling down, the pool is no good, and the playground isn’t clean. I’m surprised they haven’t shut it down. The pictures must be years old.

This motel looks nothing like the pictures. The pool is awful, the playground is unsafe, and the fence is falling apart. There’s trash from homeless people all over, and there are homeless people throughout the property and nearby. Checking in feels like putting your life in your hands, and the filth should be enough to close the place. I called the manager, was put on hold, then got hung up on. I’d give it zero stars if I could. The owner takes no pride in the motel and should be fined. I can show pictures if asked.

We arrived 30 minutes before the 3 pm check-in, and the Indian lady yelled at me to get out. I was willing to wait in my car, but they came out and harassed me in the parking lot. When I returned at 3, they said there were no rooms left because of “water damage.” It seemed pretty obvious people were living in their own rooms, which would explain why the place is so worn down. Honest to God, it was the most horrid place I’ve ever visited. 2/10, wouldn’t go back.
