Oxford Inn Silverdale

Road noise comes through if you’re on that side, there’s just one elevator, and you might hear someone stomping around upstairs. Those were the only small drawbacks for me. The WiFi was quick, breakfast was good, and the restaurant served tasty food with good service at fair prices. The room was clean and practical, the staff friendly and efficient, and extras were included in the room price. It’s a rare hotel that reminds me of how places used to be run. This has become my first choice for future stays.

My first stay at Oxford Suites was a surprisingly good experience. I’m an IHG Diamond member, and on my last trip to Silverdale I stayed at the Best Western plus, so I had a point of comparison. The room here was much nicer than the one at Best Western. The front desk staff were very pleasant, and along with the breakfast voucher, each of us got a complimentary beer, wine, or cocktail at the bistro. They also had a free salad bar and soup there. The location is near the main street, so nights can be noisy. I do wish the building had another elevator.

The room was clean, the shower water got hot enough, and the staff were all very friendly. Parking was the one small problem since the spaces felt tight and availability was limited, but I’d still happily stay again. The location suited us well. My husband could get to work easily, and on his days off we could drive out to see the sights. Some trips were longer than others, but the scenery along the way was beautiful to this Floridian.

I had a clean room with a really nice view of the bay, and every employee I came across was smiling and happy to help. Running Water was especially friendly and helpful in the breakfast area, always greeting me with a smile. Booking through the Oxford site was definitely cheaper than using any other site. If I come back to Washington, I’ll stay at Oxford Suites Silverdale again.
