We spent Christmas here and loved how peaceful the setting was, surrounded by a national forest. When our car broke down in Taos on Christmas Day, Vernon came to help us like a Christmas angel. We're so grateful for his kindness and hospitality. Vernon made us feel welcome from the beginning, reaching out personally with detailed information and making sure we were comfortable throughout. We stayed in the Enchanted suite, which felt like a home away from home. It had a spacious dining area, a well-equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, and a clean, comfortable bathroom with a heated floor.

Vernon and Deb were helpful and quick to respond while arranging our surprise 60th birthday weekend in the Presidential Villa. The villa was clean, well equipped, and roomy enough for our group of ten. Seeing our names on the marquee was a lovely welcome, and there was wine and a birthday cake waiting at check-in too. We had an excellent weekend.

We came to Taos for our first ski trip and stayed several days in the large main house. There was plenty of space for our four adults and seven mostly teenage kids, with a big kitchen and generous living and dining areas. The kids claimed the large dining table for cards and other games. The place was very clean and had a fantastic mountain lodge atmosphere. Vernon said it was over 100 years old, but it has modern appliances and updated bathrooms. Getting to town and the slopes was an easy drive. A great experience.

Vernon was a terrific host, and our condo at Shadybrook Inn was even better than we'd expected. We had an exemplary stay and will definitely book again for our next ski trip.

The place itself was charming and well cared for, with comfortable rooms and plenty of amenities. We had a wonderful stay at Shady Brook Inn, and Vernon made it especially memorable. He was welcoming and accommodating, always ready to help, whether we needed suggestions for local restaurants and activities or had an issue come up. I'd highly recommend the inn for a relaxing getaway. Special thanks to Vernon for taking such good care of us.
