Simsbury Inn

Even with only one night here, I found the room spotless, and the bed, pillows, and comforter were lovely to sink into. The staff were pleasant and accommodating. The hotel sits back from the road, so there was no traffic noise. They’d also left thoughtful extras: specially bottled spring water and fresh cookies on the pillow for a late-night snack.

Whitney at the front desk was the real standout, so thoughtful and helpful. I booked three nights at the Simsbury Inn for my mother and her dog, and was delighted to hear how kindly and attentively the staff treated her. Her pet-friendly room was comfortable, the food was great, and she enjoyed the beautiful lobby and dining area for coffee and meals. I’ll book again soon.

Breakfast was a wonderful start to the day, served in a beautiful ballroom. There were freshly made omelets and waffles, plus bacon, sausage, eggs, coffee, and tea. We stayed one night at The Simsbury Inn for a wedding, and our king room was spotless, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The team was warm and attentive too. I’d definitely choose the hotel again.

The stay cost quite a bit per night, and I wish they offered a percentage off for stays over two nights or for booking directly. Also, avoid third-party sites like Expedia if you might need to change plans: they wouldn’t let us cancel or change anything, even right after we booked. Going through the Inn directly is best. My father and I stayed three nights in January 2026 while in Ct for his brother’s memorial, and really enjoyed our time there. The Inn was nicely decorated, with a beautiful, lively atmosphere. It snowed heavily, making everything look like a winter wonderland. Whitney at the front desk was especially friendly and helpful, and went out of her way to make sure we had what we needed. The cleaning staff and Inn caretakers were lovely too and did an incredible job. I’m a retired house cleaner, and the Inn passed my clean test. It was also easy to get to places nearby, about 5-30 minutes away.
