Sleep Inn Sioux Falls Airport

The rooms are comfortable, and I really enjoy staying at this hotel. There’s a gas station next door with Quiznos, which is handy when you want a quick bite. I’d just suggest updating the televisions in the rooms. That small change would make the stay even better.

The place felt sketchy, and I didn’t feel safe there. The rooms looked cute in their decor, but the condition was awful. In the first room, the floor hadn’t been vacuumed, a headboard was cracked, the lights didn’t work, there was strange white dust on the sink, and black mold in the bathroom. The bathroom also smelled rotten. We moved to another room that was a little better, but its carpet was still dirty, the bathroom still had black mold, and the shower flooded. The fridge and microwave were plugged into an extension cord, which didn’t seem safe. At 3 a.m., the microwave kept beeping and we had no idea what was wrong with it.

My husband and I stayed one night a few days ago and had a fantastic time. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, and the furniture looked nice while still being useful. There are lots of restaurants nearby to pick from. We ate at Hibachi Buffet and thought the selection was great. My husband also got to chat with the owner before we left. I’d definitely stay at this Hotel again.

CAUTION: I’d stayed here a few separate times over the last few months. When I tried to book a fourth night online for a lower rate, there were supposedly no rooms available. At 10:15, I called the front desk and was told a "rodeo event" meant the hotel was "sold out" and I had to leave as soon as possible. Nobody had warned me, and I only learned about having to leave when I made that call. I checked into a nearby hotel, then found online that this Sleep Inn did have rooms available that same day for less. I called the front desk again to check, and the woman quoted me about $150 plus tax. So they sure did "sell out" on me. How can I feel welcome there again?
