Would I pay $250 a night to stay here again? No. I found the place a ripoff and grossly overpriced. I’ve had better rooms at Econo Lodges. There’s no maid service, no guest laundry, and no breakfast, not even a tray in the front office with a stale donut or a little orange juice. Check-in desk hours are supposedly 2-9 PM, but when I went at 8:15 there was nobody there and no easy way to contact anyone. The cancellation policy is terrible, so read it before booking. The DownTown Inn calls itself “in the heart of Sister Bay,” but it’s just as you enter town from the southwest. “Edge of Town Inn” would be more truthful. The owner’s reply to my comments below has now shown everyone who and what they are. They should get out of the hospitality business.

Nothing fancy, just a good bed, a shower, and a pastry in the lobby in the morning at a fair price. Village View is within walking distance of everything in Sister Bay. The owners were welcoming, and our room was spotless, clean, and comfortable. We truly enjoyed staying there.

We’ve stayed at Village View for several summers and have always had a great stay. It’s a family-owned hotel, and the room was clean and comfortable. The owner and her family are friendly and accommodating. The owner is short-staffed, like almost everywhere else in Door County, so guests need some patience these days, but service was still great and it didn’t affect our stay.

We had a room with two queen beds, and it was very spacious. The bathroom was roomy too, with a clean, nice one-piece tub and shower. The place is cute, well maintained, and super clean. It’s right on Main Street, an easy walk to shops, restaurants, and the beach. We’d stay again and recommend it.
