Goose & Twigs

We’ve already booked our next stay at Goose and Twigs. It has a great vibe, with easy parking and a perfect location. It was lovely meeting Goose, his wife, and daughter. A belated review of a delightful stay!

The coffee shop is phenomenal, with quick, easy morning breakfast at an affordable price. The staff are always friendly and helpful, and they do a great job. Goose and Twigs is a phenomenal place to stay, with great rooms and all the amenities you’d expect. It’s just a minute’s walk from downtown Sister Bay.

My family and I had an unforgettable stay at Goose & Twigs in Sister Bay, Wisconsin. I’ve got sixth-generation roots in Door County, and I love seeing local businesses do well. Our car broke down in town, and the owner went out of his way to pick us up. The kindness and customer service went far beyond what we expected. Goose and his twins (Twigs) are delightful and felt like family. Outside, the landscaping was stunning and added a peaceful charm. Inside, the room was cozy, beautifully designed, and full of thoughtful touches. The mattress was soft and cloud-like, the best sleep I’ve had in a long time. I also appreciated the generous towel selection, including a makeup towel and darker towels. The on-site coffee house served scrumptious coffee and fresh bakery treats in the morning. If you’re going anywhere in Door County, grab a treat there, and even better, stay there. It’s a true treasure, and it’s the only place I recommend north of my hometown, Sturgeon Bay. I was locking my bikes to my car because I planned to go in for coffee. The owner came over while my wife and I were loading the car and asked if we were checking in. I said we were there for coffee, and he shortly replied, “we’re closed.” I asked, “a coffee shop closed on a Saturday?” He said they were closed for the season. As I started to leave without saying anything else, my wife asked if we could leave the car where it was parked. He then called me “rude” and told me “you need to learn to be nice.” Nothing rude was said that warranted that behavior. It was absolutely uncalled for from a business owner. I’d highly recommend avoiding this establishment because of the openly rude ownership. I won’t return under any circumstances. By far the worst service I’ve had in DC. The owner’s response is another clear sign of poor service. Stay away. This is blatantly a lie.
