Easy to book and check in, in a safe area, and affordable. This hidden gem in Skaneateles new york has clean rooms with quaint, comfortable decor, and it's close to town.

Our kids loved playing on the huge lawn, and the well-maintained grounds made the whole place feel peaceful. Our family stayed in the two-bedroom unit at The Gate and loved it. It was luxurious and comfortable, with great amenities and a super convenient location. They seem to have quite a few units, so it could work well for a large family or multiple families on vacation, or even an event. We'll 100% stay again when we visit SKN.

The exterior might make you hesitate, but inside the rooms are updated and comfortable. Everything was clean, the A/C was great, and the main village was very close. Service was great too, and the recommendations were excellent.

We could walk to the lake and the downtown shopping area from The Gate, and the hosts were warm and friendly. They shared recommendations for seeing the town and nearby attractions. Our suite was clean, modern, and cozy, with all the comforts we needed. We had a fantastic stay and will definitely come back for another getaway.

We loved having a little kitchen for making our own coffee and breakfast, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. My husband and I stayed at The Gate over 4th of July weekend, and the owner was very kind, responsive, and had thought of everything. The place was extremely clean, quiet, and comfortable, exactly as pictured, very new and neat. The bathroom was wonderful, with an awesome shower and great pressure. Downtown shops, restaurants, and bars were an easy walk away. We hope to return next year. The Gate is 5 Star, book it and you'll be happy you did.
