I didn't want this kind of motel this time, though I've stayed in places like it before. There was nothing Amish about it. I booked through Hotels.com on the day I was due to check in. The listing said no smoking, and there were half a dozen no-smoking signs on the way to the desk, but smoke hit me as soon as I opened the lobby door. I didn't check in. They refunded only two of my three nights, keeping $66 for doing nothing beyond accepting my automated digital reservation. I spent time, effort, and money and got no stay out of it. It felt like a flop house. Be warned. If the owner replies defensively, that just confirms to me they took my money and ran. I'll remove this if they refund the full amount.

The room smelled bad, probably because of the mold, and I started coughing during the night. The shower enclosure was covered in black mold, and several outlets were poorly installed or uncovered, with wires sticking out and barely anywhere to charge a phone. The owner wouldn't refund our second night or move us, saying there were no vacancies even though the parking lot was nearly empty. Never again. Stay well clear.

The staff were really attentive. The rooms were okay, with wood floors, which I prefer. There's no breakfast, and coffee isn't available until 8.

The rooms were roomy, clean, and easy on the budget, and the location was perfect. Staff were friendly and accommodating, and the man at the front desk kindly took care of my special requests. If you're passing through, this place is worth considering.

The photos on the website looked nothing like the rooms we got. In both of the two rooms we rented, the toilets wouldn't flush. One room had a loose ceiling, a mirror off the wall lying on the floor, and a bathroom wall falling into the tub. It was one of the dirtiest places I've been. There was also a loud, apparently drug-related party in the next room that spilled out into the parking lot.
