I loved my stay. It’s a hostel, so don’t expect a hotel experience, but the value and community are hard to beat. Check-in at 1100 was smooth and much appreciated. It’s a great budget choice if you’re comfortable with the shared atmosphere. The place is clean and quiet, with well-kept showers and a community kitchen. The location is fantastic, with easy walking, scooter, or bike access to Downtown, The Arts District, Union Station, and Little Tokyo. AC is limited at the 700 E. 1st Street location, so it could get warm in summer. The 900 E. 1st Street Podshare location has better AC, and I was told I could use its community work area if it got too hot. Things cool down nicely in the evening, so sleeping wasn’t a problem.

I stayed at both the DTLA and Venice locations. Both are clean, well maintained, and have friendly receptionists. Venice was especially nice, with a spacious green backyard. A great budget option for a quick couple-day trip when you don’t need to be indoors much. I’d recommend them.

The hostel guests were quiet, but the woman in charge talked loudly all day, making it hard for me to fall asleep. I had terrible nights and could still hear her voice through noise-canceling headphones with music playing all night. She was super annoying, stepped onto my bed in dirty shoes, and had poor hygiene.

Such a lovely place, clean and cozy, with beautiful decor and a wonderful location. The people inside were lovely too!!!!

The rooms are loud, there’s no fresh air, and they rely on huge industrial fans to circulate it.
