Breakfast was terrible. The coffee tasted burnt, and the food was such low quality that even though I’m not picky, I didn’t think it was fit to eat. I stayed here despite the egregious attempt to misdirect my review, which is proof of the rudeness we dealt with. We’ll never book here again. The clerk treated us like criminals, demanding to know everything we were doing and even trying to butt into a private conversation I was having with someone in my party. After we’d checked in, they repeatedly called asking for payment up front. They also called Priceline, where we’d booked and paid, so many times that Priceline contacted us to find out what was going on. We finally canceled our rooms and changed hotels. I normally choose Comfort Inn and Choice hotels, but I won’t stay at this one again. Never.

We lasted less than ten minutes in the room. The toilet wouldn’t flush, the bathroom sink didn’t work, the TV was broken, and there were stains on the walls. The elevator was disgusting and clearly hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. We went right back downstairs to report it, but the manager yelled that we must be homeless to check into a hotel at 11 a.m. We asked to check out, and he refused to refund us before walking away. We had to threaten to call the police before he returned to the desk. After about 20 minutes of yelling and verbal abuse, he printed the refund and threw the paper at my husband. During that time he threatened to mark our profile online as “homeless” so we could never reserve a hotel anywhere in the world again. We are far from homeless. Big mistake on his part. The hotel down the street treated us like royalty. The empty parking lot should have been our first clue. We arrived around 11 a.m. to check in, but nobody was at the desk. After five minutes, an attendant came out from behind the wall looking irritated that we were there. We got just one key; when we asked for a second, the manager came over and huffed and puffed about it. Never stay here.

There was a German cockroach crawling up the wall as soon as we entered the room. The blankets had big tears, there were clumps of hair on the bed, and the pillows smelled like urine. We photographed everything and raised it politely, hoping to work something out. The staff called us liars, yelled at us, and accused us of threatening them when we showed the pictures. One of the worst hotel stays we’ve had. I don’t think guests should trust the anonymous five-star reviews. They look like they were written by the owners or staff to make the place seem better. Don’t come here. They don’t care about customer service or listening when guests have a problem.

The bathroom had very poor lighting and the fan didn’t work. Towels were worn out, pillows lumpy, and the front desk said all the pillows were the same. The carpet also needed a deep clean, with the furniture moved so they could vacuum underneath. The pool was too cold to use. Breakfast was poor: overcooked eggs with no choice of style, no bacon, no pancakes, just link sausages, and lousy coffee. I wouldn’t recommend the place. I wondered why it was nearly empty, but anyone who’s stayed there probably wouldn’t return.
