La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Smyrna TN - Nashville

They say rooms are cleaned every three days unless you request otherwise, but someone came into mine daily, changed the towels, and walked through without cleaning. Google shows incorrect prices, since they have no rooms below $117 a night. There’s a $20 smoking deposit that they don’t refund, even though I’m not a smoker. The laundry machines take your money, and the front desk won’t refund it or address the problem. More than a week later, I still haven’t received a charge summary or receipt.

The hotel itself was fine, but the front desk woman made the stay disappointing. She was curt and rude both when I called to reserve and when we checked in, as if I were bothering her. I was already stressed about a major surgery scheduled for 5:30 the next morning, and needed somewhere relaxing and welcoming. Her attitude put a sour note on the whole experience.

A relaxing, very nice stay, with great beds and plenty of pillows. Breakfast was wonderful, and the hot water was surprisingly hot. Just check that the room alarm clock isn’t set.

The location and room were great, and the man at the front desk was helpful. A younger woman who works nights was rude, though, and that’s the last thing people need after a long drive. We only had half a roll of toilet paper, and the room wasn’t fully stocked with toilet paper or Kleenex. She tried telling us they were out of toilet paper. If it weren’t for her and the supplies, I would’ve given five stars all around. Customer service might not be her expertise. Thank you.
