Elizabeth at the front desk made a lasting impression. She was kind, attentive, and clearly eager to help with whatever we needed, which made our stay feel special. The property itself is beautiful, relaxing, and very well maintained. We had an amazing time at Viewline Resort in Snowmass and highly recommend it. Thanks, Elizabeth!

The staff even invited us back the next day after we learned we’d just missed the outdoor s’mores gathering. That kind of thoughtfulness, along with prices that seemed reasonable for the area, made us want to return. ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Our family has to take gluten allergies seriously, but eating here didn’t feel like a negotiation. The team checked ingredients, offered substitutions, and adjusted dishes that weren’t marked gluten free. They also found a way to make the cheese fondue we were craving, even though it usually isn’t served in the evening. There was live music, the room had a fun energy, and the space felt both relaxed and polished. We had the kids with us and still felt completely comfortable.

The staff were friendly and accommodating throughout our stay. They’d put us in a room that involved a bit of a walk, but when they learned my mom is handicapped, they quickly moved us somewhere more convenient. They also gave us the wrong information about an event at the hotel by mistake. To make up for it, they went out of their way to treat us to a bottle of champagne. It felt like they really cared about making guests’ stays special.

The room was truly gross. We found someone else’s lip balm and leaves when we arrived, and there were bugs around the bathroom vanity. The water came out murky and white, and I have no idea why. The carpet was stained, and the chairs and upholstery were ripped and marked up. During a holiday weekend there was nowhere else to stay or switch rooms, though changing rooms probably wouldn’t have solved much in such a rundown hotel. I was disappointed that staff entered after I’d left the do-not-enter sign up and told them I was traveling with my pet. I appreciate that the hotel allows pets, but I needed them to respect my request so I could keep mine safe. The staff seemed to be trying, but they appeared undertrained and possibly understaffed, so I won’t dwell on it. Still, this did not feel like a four-star hotel. My mom and I are top-level Marriott members, and we’ve never seen a Marriott property this defunct. Charging an extra $10 for a hot breakfast is also insane. I’d never stay here again.
