Camp Four 23: Pet Friendly, Slope Side, Gas Fireplace

We were in unit 28, which wasn't easy to locate because the unit numbers are so small. The signs aren't great, and check-in is somewhere completely different, a detail we only learned by asking around. Once inside, there's comfortable room for plenty of people, and skiing is just a few steps away, with a nearby lift to bring you back. Parking across the mountain is awful, so the shuttle is a better option, but pickups need to be scheduled by phone. Cell and internet service disappear about two hours before you reach the mountain, so make sure the directions are already in your GPS and arrange the shuttle before leaving your lodging.

There was enough space in the townhouse and it had what we needed, but calling it ski-in, ski-out didn't fit our stay. We went in January, when the ski-out trail was closed because it needs natural snow and isn't snow-blown. Getting back in meant a long walk in ski boots while carrying our gear, which wasn't great for a family. We ended up relying on the shuttle, and it only came every 30 minutes.

Camp 4 was peaceful and tucked away, though getting to the Village or Silver Creek may mean catching two buses. It wasn't exactly ski-in, ski-out for us either, since we had to cross the Powderidge parking lot to reach the slopes. The townhouse was in good shape, roomy enough for five, and check-in and checkout were straightforward.
