Rimfire Lodge

The spa tub was super hot, and having it right there was really convenient. We had a great stay and will definitely come back. It worked perfectly for our family of four. Just keep expectations in check, it's not the Ritz, but it delivers what I'd expect from a three-star hotel.

The village location was handy for restaurants and activities, and we could see a bit of the village from the room. But comfort was a different story. We were there for a family ski weekend and got a room on the second floor above Starbucks. It was very dated and poorly lit, and the beds were awful, just a mattress topper on a couch. Our backs hurt after the second night. The place was packed, so we didn't have many alternatives. For what it costs, I wouldn't stay here if comfort matters.

The views from our fourth-floor room were incredible, and the room itself had been nicely updated with a big, comfortable couch and everything we needed. We were here for our honeymoon. Rimfire isn't a traditional hotel, and check-in was over at Allegheny. The big disappointment was that the hot tubs were out of service. We could have used the shared pool and hot tub next door, but it cost extra because we booked through a third party. Apart from that, Rimfire was fine.

That west-facing view was a treat at sunset. We had the whole second-floor condo, with a spacious kitchen, gas fireplace, balcony, and a good-sized open living area. There was a king bed and a decent bathroom and shower too.
