Best Western Snyder Inn

Once we got into a cool downstairs king room, the stay was great and we had no more complaints. The young man who brought us a new TV remote was really nice, and when I asked for a fan because our first room was hot, he moved us downstairs. The start was rough, though. I’d booked through the Best Western app about two hours before arriving and requested downstairs because stairs are hard with luggage. My husband was told no room downstairs was available, even though queen or king didn’t matter, so we hauled everything upstairs to a hot room with the AC thermostat knob missing. The remote wasn’t working either. We’d had a long travel day and stopped at the Lamesa Cemetery, so I wasn’t happy. I’m giving them four stars because things turned around. We prefer motels where the car is right outside, and we’ll give this one another try. Without that bad start, it’d be five stars.

The room was in good shape, the AC worked, and it was clean. Pets were allowed and the price was reasonable. The breakfast was extremely small and sad, though, and the shower dispensers for soap, shampoo, and conditioner were empty and didn’t work. One towel also had a pretty large, mysterious yellow stain.

Our king room was clean and the bed was really comfortable, with a very fair price for the night. Breakfast offered plenty of variety, and the manager was very friendly. There was a fair amount of road noise, but we ran the heater on auto all night.

Vishal, the manager, was so nice and clearly tried to make our stay enjoyable, which is why I’m giving this location four stars. The room definitely needed a new mattress, and the AC had trouble cooling it down. Still, it was very clean.
