Canyon Haus

The hot tub was a nice bonus, and parking was easy. Our room was clean and comfortable, the bed was great, and the kitchenette came in handy for quick breakfasts. Staff were friendly, and check-in was fast and simple. Canyon Haus is right in Canyons Village, close to the lifts, restaurants, and shops, so getting onto the mountain was easy. It feels new and well cared for. We had a great stay and would come back next time we’re in Park City.

Our family of four fit comfortably in the studio-sized apartment, and it was equipped with what skiers need. The facility was very well kept, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay and plan to return.

We came during what they call silver season, and it was a terrible experience. We were the only customers, the hot tub was broken, and the staff did the bare minimum to make up for the lack of amenities. The room might be great for skiers, but if you don’t ski, don’t stay here. This was a marketing vacation, and it left a bad impression. My husband and I won’t visit again. I don’t usually write negative reviews, but wanted to speak up so nobody else has to go through what we did.

The room itself was okay, clean, and had the things we needed, but for what we paid, the service was very disappointing. There was no concierge for restaurant or activity suggestions, or even basic questions about public transit. The front desk staff were unfriendly and not accommodating. This wasn’t ski-in, ski-out for us. With gear for five people, the walk uphill was a third of a mile. On day four of our eight-day stay, I asked for fresh towels and was told they didn’t service our room because someone else cleaned it. We never found out who that was. We bought toilet paper for the rest of the stay, which was fine, and washed our towels and washcloths ourselves in the communal machine, which was always full.
