Baymont by Wyndham Socorro

You can tell the family who runs this place takes pride in their work, and the service was very good. The rooms were clean, but the property feels dated and needs repairs. It seems like there isn't much money available for updates in this low-income city.

I usually stay at a place down the street when I'm in town for My ORYX Hunts, but this is my new choice. I rarely write reviews, but the clean rooms and updated beds and toilet tree stood out. Great quality overall.

We got a clean room with very comfortable beds, and the person who checked us in was friendly and accommodating.

The beds were comfortable and the towels were clean and fluffy, but the rest of the stay was a letdown. We brought 27 high school students for local astronomy activities, and the rooms weren't particularly clean. Shampoo and soap dispensers were empty, and many of the little things you'd expect in a hotel room were missing. Breakfast was awful. There wasn't much food, and some of it was expired. The waffle maker worked poorly, and there was hardly any batter. Most of our group had to cross the street to Circle K to find something to eat. I'm extremely disappointed.
