For a quick stop, this was a practical, affordable place. Holiday Host Motel and RV Park in Sonora is on TX-467 Loop and easy to find, with a motel and RV option for travelers who don't need anything fancy. The older property isn't a luxury stay, but the simple room had what I needed to rest and clean up overnight before getting back on the road. Free Wi-Fi, parking, and breakfast were useful for the price.

I'm a truck driver, and when I called about availability I mentioned my truck was parked at a truck stop about five miles away. The owner offered to come get me. He also drove me to a nearby restaurant, waited while my food was being prepared, and brought me back. That kind of care is rare. He treated me like a friend visiting, not just a customer, and he's one of the kindest, most caring people I've met. The bed was clean and smelled fresh, and the room was warm and comfortable. It's an older motel, so don't expect modern design, but I didn't find it dirty. Some negative reviews seem to expect a five-star hotel for budget motel prices. If you value being treated with respect and care, this is a good place to stay.

We were heading to Big Bend NP and booked five rooms, arriving really late. The owner was friendly and accommodating, and the rooms were super clean. No weed smell or anything. It's right on the highway/street. We had a nice breakfast in the morning, and the coffee was great.

We spent the night in our RV outside the motel, around the back. We had electricity, but didn't use any of the other amenities. Couldn't get a single TV channel. It was quiet and cheap, $33 a night.
