Courtyard Somerset by Marriott

For our wedding room block at $129 a night, the stay was worth it, especially since most guests were there just one or two nights. The location was incredibly convenient for everything our guests and I needed. The lobby and breakfast area look modern and nice, while the rooms are quite outdated. One guest had to switch rooms because of an odd smell, and in the second room the toilet didn't work. The staff were amazing, friendly, accommodating, and so nice. Special shoutout to Giselle, Jiovani, Marco, Robert, and Raven.

Unless this is your last resort, I'd avoid staying here, especially if you're bringing kids. The pool water was the color of lake water, and the floor felt slimy. Bring your own food and amenities if you do stay briefly. A regular plastic bottle of Pepsi at the entrance food and drink section cost $4.50, and the water in the room was labeled "Full Body Hydration! 6$!". Six dollars for water is ridiculous. The shower floor was disgusting and clearly hadn't been cleaned before we arrived. The Wi-Fi connected but had no internet, so it was useless. All in all, one of the worst hotel experiences I've had.

Giselle went above and beyond this past week. She had to put up with my nonsense, but stayed positive and made sure I got what I needed. She's the sweetest, and I'll definitely come back because of her.

I only had a short stay, but the hotel has felt clean, quiet, and welcoming so far. The view from my windows really amazed me. I also liked the man at the front desk. He was respectful and had a sense of humor.
