Travelodge by Wyndham South Burlington

We'd been having a good experience until we were told we had to leave because the motel was being turned into a place for families with children only. My 78-year-old mom uses a wheelchair, is bedridden, can't walk at all, and is incontinent. Her pad leaked onto the sheet. We asked if we could stay another night or two while we found somewhere else, but they said no and made us leave. A lot of people were very upset. Thank God we found another motel that night.

My mother had to throw away everything she owned in the room after a bed bug infestation, and the loss of her belongings caused a lot of stress and problems. When she found the bugs and told the front office, they first said they couldn't move her to another room to avoid spreading them. She called 211 to explain what happened and find another room. 211 had to contact the hotel to confirm her account, and then, according to my mother, the front office denied the bed bugs and tried to make her look like a liar. She's no longer staying there.

The room was acceptable, but my attempt to raise a concern with the front desk turned into a deeply unpleasant exchange. I was met with hostility and rudeness, and the unprofessional response made things worse instead of resolving them. It left me concerned about how other guests may be treated. Management needs to address this, because no guest should face that kind of behavior. Until there are meaningful changes, I can't recommend the place. There are better options down the road. Travelodge, I hope you take action and replace the woman responsible for the negative, unprofessional atmosphere I experienced.

I stayed for a week, and they had an issue with my service dog. They're not pet friendly. There's no pool, and they'll throw your belongings in the trash if you leave them in the room. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.
