Red Roof Inn Atlanta - Six Flags

The manager, Gabriel, was extremely nice and accommodating, but this place was disgusting. I stayed three hours before I’d had enough. The parking lot was full of sketchy people, liquor and beer bottles, and condom wrappers. Even with my two Dobermans, I didn’t feel safe. I chose it because it allows pets, but we would have been better off sleeping in my vehicle. In the room, there was opened soap and dirty towels on the counter, ashes in the ice bucket tray, and serious water damage on the floor. The ceiling looked like it might fall in. The bedding had cigarette burns and looked unchanged, so I didn’t sleep under the sheets. Don’t waste your money.

The morning staff were super nice, though the night staff didn’t seem hospitable. We didn’t leave because I was exhausted after driving from Miami to atlanta. The room felt humid, including the hardwood floor, which I wouldn’t walk on barefoot. Room 509 had ceiling stains that looked like water leaks. The shower curtain was too small, and the towels were stiff and dirty. It just didn’t feel clean. The WiFi was terrible, so we couldn’t watch TV. My mom and I were the only ones wearing masks, and staff weren’t taking virus precautions. The doors were loud, the walls very thin, and the neighborhood wasn’t great. They claim it’s renovated, but if this is the renovated version, I hate to imagine how it looked before.

The staff were good, and the big bathtub was wonderfully relaxing. I still wouldn’t come back for it. One bed was broken, the furniture was dingy and really old, and some wall sockets had no covers, so I wouldn’t bring children. There were a few gnats in the room, and I’m not sure where they came from. It smelled like urine from the entrance all the way to the room. For the price, that’s about what I expected.

The service was great when I walked in, but the place smelled like dank. It’s next to two clubs, and I saw prostitutes walking out as I parked. My key didn’t work, so the front desk girl had to let me in. Then I found blood in the bathtub and broken curtains. I was so disgusted that I got a refund and moved to a better hotel down the road. I accidentally left my pillow and went back for it the next day, but when I got home four hours away, I realized they’d swapped it for one of their hotel pillows. Wouldn’t recommend it. You can do better.
