Sketchy place. There are drug addicts all over the area and lots of police activity, which is a sad state of affairs. The AC and heat were set so high I couldn't adjust them. There was no room apart from the bed, and no filter. The ceiling fan chains couldn't be reached without standing on the bed, and even then I couldn't reach them. The plywood floors were as clean as they could be. Black hornet bees were all around the doors. I think the owner could do better.

The room was clean and roomy, and the owners were friendly and accommodating. The property itself, including the pool area, could use a little attention, though the pool was clean and refreshing. The location was great, about six minutes by car to downtown Lake George, a minute's walk to the outlets, and five minutes to Great Escape. I'd absolutely stay again. The local Rodeo was a great time too! :)

For two nights, we were woken by a man in a neighboring room yelling obscenities, at 4:30 AM the first night and 2:30 AM the next. I spoke with him after the first disturbance and told the owner I was concerned about what looked like signs of stimulant use and needle marks. I also warned that cleaning staff might find loose needles, but the owner did nothing. We used loud white noise the second night to cover the shouting. Given how dirty the first room was, I worry guests could get stuck by a needle and exposed to HIV or another illness. If you have kids and care about your safety, I'd strongly recommend staying elsewhere. The first room had no AC, dust everywhere, dead bugs, and floors that turned our feet black. The owner moved us to a supposedly brand new room with AC, which we needed in 90-plus-degree heat, but nails stuck out of surfaces, so I bent them in to avoid anyone getting hurt. That's the only reason I haven't given a one-star rating. The pet-friendly listing doesn't mention the extra $50 per night until check-in. Other reviews say it used to be $30, so the charge seems to change on a whim. If you expect a quaint cabin, look somewhere else.

The mountain view out back was beautiful, and the sky filled with stars at night. Our private cabin, number 109, had a lovely interior, fresh modern design, and new chairs and a table on the front porch. We came for our first visit and needed a night out to get our spark back. We were speechless when we arrived, and we did get that feeling back. The pool was private and well cared for. This is our new spot, we'll be back often, and we highly recommend it.
