Rodeway Inn Lake George Outlets

The property is in a great central location and looks nice. I recently visited my friend Bryan G, who manages it. He told me about the improvements and new rules and regulations. While we talked, a crew was outside blacktopping the parking lot and repainting the lines. He also showed me the new integrated surveillance system, which lets whoever is in the office keep an eye on the property 24/7 to help maintain a safe place for visitors. He showed me a room that had just been checked out of and cleaned for the next guest. It felt like walking into a brand new room.

We’d booked a king room, but it was very small and compact. The manager kindly offered a two-bedroom suite at no extra cost after our request for a refund was denied. The suite was very clean, and we enjoyed sitting on the balcony and looking at the scenic Adirondack mountains.

There aren’t many frills, but the price is very good for the location. The owner-operator is probably one of the nicest, most honest, stand-up people I’ve met in the hotel business. Definitely worth a stop.

Management was awesome, and it wasn’t a bad place. They did jack up the prices for Fourth of July, which is common. Our room didn’t feel to be in the best shape, though, and the beds were the hardest thing you’ll ever sleep on. I can’t imagine staying more than one night.
