Comfort Suites South Haven near I-96

The room wasn't cleaned between our two nights, even though we asked. Our dirty laundry and trash sat in the hallway all day after the desk told me to leave them outside the door. The place also wasn't clean, and you have to go downstairs whenever you need anything. I spent about $450 and don't understand how they justify these prices. To me, this isn't worth more than $80, and I wish I could get all my money back. Whoever handles cleaning needs retraining.

The room smelled strongly of mold and felt damp. There was gravel all over the floor, and my infant tried to eat it. When I asked for it to be vacuumed, they said no cleaning crew was available. After I pushed, they gave me a vacuum and I cleaned it myself. The shower bottles were disgusting, and the pillows were tiny, more like ones for a chair. Breakfast was okay, though I appreciated that they had eggs. This is honestly the worst hotel I've stayed in.

The front desk worker was rude and did everything she could not to accommodate us. She kept saying things were fine when I was clearly telling her they weren't. The heater blew hot and cold air at the same time, there was no heat in the bathroom, and the pool was extremely cold. I'll never stay here again.

My mother is staying there, and the desk attendant gave her room number to her ex-boyfriend. He claimed to be her fiancé and asked for the number after seeing her car, even though his name wasn't on anything. The attendant then tried to justify giving it to him. Imagine if my mother had been hurt. They'll give your room number to anyone, even if they're not on the reservation.
