Firelight Camps

The woman who showed us our accommodation in the evening was really nice and very helpful. That made it especially frustrating the next morning to hear the people handling coffee and breakfast talk down about her right in front of me. Breakfast timing also seemed unclear, which left guests uncertain and tapping their fingers while they waited. The concept is great, but for the price I expected better care of the room or tent. The comforter was too small for the bed, and the photos hide that by pulling it toward the side by the door, so they clearly know it’s undersized. There were cobwebs and other things in the tent they could have cleaned. I also didn’t like finding an envelope asking for housekeeping tips. That felt tacky, especially at this price.

Just woke up in a king bed with nature sounds all around me. This is the best glamping spot ever, and I don’t think I can go back to regular camping, lol.

The staff were all super friendly and helpful, and the location makes it easy to explore Ithaca and the state parks. There’s even a private access path to buttermilk falls park. We loved staying in a tent without electricity, and the whole campground felt like a one of a kind experience. Sitting around the campfire in the evening was magical.

We loved our long weekend here last September and can’t wait to come back. The tents were spotless, cozy, and welcoming, with extra blankets for the chilly nights. The bed was amazingly comfortable and made it easy to relax. There were plenty of fire pits, and having a full bar was a pleasant surprise. The atmosphere brought together comfort and the outdoors really nicely. I’d recommend it if you’re after a unique, relaxing escape.
