Travelodge South Holland

The stay was reliable, and I slept well on the comfortable mattress. Even with traffic nearby, the room kept noise out pretty well. Room service also arrived when expected. I stayed four nights.

The area felt sketchy, especially at night, with a lot of people hanging around. I also heard rumors about cars being stolen. I won't be coming back. I had been here a couple of weeks earlier and had a great experience, so I returned from out of town for a two-night getaway with my fiancé. But they wouldn't accept his ID because it was one day past its expiration date, and his replacement was still in the mail. I offered to show my own ID, but was told it had to be the person who made the reservation. The staff member first told me to contact the booking website to change the name or add me to the reservation's authorized-person list. The website said the hotel had to handle it. When I went back with that answer, she said the website had to do it after all. I'm tired of getting the runaround. Either you can do it or you can't. Now I have to wait five days to get $250 back for the two nights. That's ridiculous, and not how customers should be treated. I work at a gas station and can scan an ID one day past its expiration date, so I figured your boss would understand. Update your policies or go back to your country.

The toilet wasn't working properly, which was the one problem I had. The room and linen were clean and nice, and the front desk staff were helpful and accommodating.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the internet and TV worked well. The place is inexpensive, so I wasn't expecting exceptional rooms. Mine smelled a little humid, but was fine for one night. I wouldn't recommend staying longer. Cleanliness was acceptable, though I did see a cockroach, which I assume isn't unusual for hotels.
