Baymont by Wyndham Jacksonville

After a long work drive, my husband and I spent one night here. The room was huge, the bed comfortable, and the jetted tub was amazing. Wi-Fi was junk, and there weren’t any wash rags in the room. There were signs for ice and vending on the third floor, but neither was there. They’re still remodeling, though, so those things didn’t put us off.

We first stayed here a few years ago, and came back last night. The place is so much better now, with a new breakfast area, a nicely decorated lobby, and an outdoor grilling spot. Even the elevator walls look appealing. We love the upgrades and would stay here again if we’re in the area.

I had breakfast here, but it looked pretty bad, and it seemed like they were still wrapping up the remodel. There was one ice machine and a vending machine with some snacks but no drinks. The big mirror was clean, bright, and great. My king room was clean too, though the bed felt firmer than I like. The sink also wouldn’t drain properly.

There was hair in the bathroom, on my sheets, and even in the breakfast food. A grain mill right behind the hotel was really loud. I wasn’t impressed with this Baymont.
