Quality Inn Jacksonville near I-72

We had to leave in the middle of the night and find another hotel because the place was so nasty and smelled strongly of dog urine. During my first check of the room, I found dead roaches, and then we noticed gnats coming through the pipes and out of the sink into the room. We reported it several times to the older foreign guy. He said it would be handled, but nothing was ever done.

The employees were amazing, accommodating, and took care of a small issue I had at first. The warm pool looked very inviting, breakfast was good, and the bed was comfortable and relaxing. It was quiet, and I enjoyed the stay. Some areas could use fresh paint and new flooring, but this is a hotel I’ve stayed at often in years past, and I’d recommend it to friends and family. The staff deserve 10 stars. Thank you!

The room worked well for us, and the staff were very helpful. A few small repairs and touch-ups would have helped, but nothing was wrong and nothing felt gross. Good value.

The pool, which was one of the reasons we chose the hotel, stayed closed until our last evening. By then we’d already made other plans. Breakfast was the same all six days, canned gravy and soggy biscuits. My parents paid $530 for my seven-day stay, which they were told was a discounted rate for a Quality Inn. I checked out one day early, but instead of refunding nearly $100, the hotel charged me a $75 early checkout fee. I’ve traveled and stayed in almost 40 states, including California, and I’ve never had that happen or even heard of it. This felt like a complete scam.
