Secrets Inn Lake Tahoe

The service was the best part for us. When the Jet tub in our room didn't work, they came to check right away and moved us to an upgraded room. Harjeet was friendly, respectful, and very apologetic and humble about the problem. He gave us the most luxurious room, the one with all wooden walls. The main thing is how they treat you when something goes wrong, and Harjeet handled it so well. Thanks, Harjeet. We arrived to a nice, well-maintained room. The heater worked great, there was no smell, and hot water came right away. Since the place is made of wood, it can't be super quiet. The room quality was okay compared with the reviews, but ours were tip top. We booked the second last option before the full luxury one, so check the pictures and description when booking because it can be easy to get confused. I thought they should have checked the Jet tub, but then realized water gets wasted and things do break. The beach is a 5 minute drive away, with a fence for the private beach. You can go there for free if nobody is on duty. Parking right by the rooms is limited and first come, first served. Otherwise, you park across from the hotel, a 2 minute walk away. They had plenty of supplies. Parking and the service made this an amazing experience, and I'd definitely return and recommend it. If the seasonal price is too high, going when I did was pretty cheap for the service. Don't be put off by negative reviews, I had doubts after reading them but had a great stay. Give them a chance if something happens. The first video shows the room we booked, and the second shows the room offered for the inconvenience.

There's a hot tub suite and a spot outside to sit by a fire at night, and the property has loads of character. It's been refurbished and is utterly Charming. Tahoe and the ski lift are super close, about a block and a half from the gondola. We love places with charm, and this one gets an A+.

A great motel by the lake, with a fireplace, hot tub, and a shower with crazy water pressure. Everything was perfect, especially for less than $60 a night with taxes. The deposit showed back up on my credit card on the third day.

I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. The rooms were mediocre and barely clean, and the paper-thin walls kept me up all night. Since it's pet friendly, you hear dogs barking like they're right next to your head. Other guests' toilets, showers, or tubs sound like the water is running in your own room. Such a waste of time and money.
