Best Western the Garden Executive Hotel

Housekeeping was the one bright spot. The rooms were cleaned very well and kept up properly, and the cleaning staff clearly take their work seriously. The only other employee who treated me professionally was the young man on the night shift. He was calm and polite, and printed my payment receipt without hesitation. I had to move rooms three times because of plumbing problems: first a clogged sink, then a clogged toilet, and later a blocked bathtub drain. The day-shift front desk employee spoke to me in a consistently rude, irritated way, as if helping guests were a bother. Basic items like glasses or utensils were often said to be unavailable, and simple requests seemed to annoy her. When I asked for a receipt, she said, “I’m new.” That doesn’t excuse a lack of professionalism or basic customer service. Her manner changed when the manager was around, which made it seem like attitude, not inability, was the issue. The manager also didn’t take the initiative to address things or support the guest experience. It gave me the impression that service standards aren’t a priority here. Clean rooms don’t make up for unprofessional front desk behavior, so I can’t recommend this hotel.
