Days Inn Hotel

This Days Inn was horrible. The place smelled strongly of weed and smoke, the bathroom and linens weren’t clean, and the air conditioner was full of lint. There was nobody at reception, so you had to bang and yell to get someone to come. When I complained, the staff asked for our room keys and literally threw us out. Priceline didn’t even come to help us get a refund. This place felt dangerous for your health and life. Don’t book it or go anywhere near it.

It’s okay for the price if all you need is somewhere to sleep near the airport. The shuttle process is a bit of a hassle: call the hotel, get another number to call, then wait for the driver to ring from yet another number to arrange pickup. Breakfast doesn’t start until 8, so you’ll have to skip it if your flight is early.

I’m satisfied with my stay. I travel alone and just want a basic, inexpensive place, and this Day’s Inn worked for that. It doesn’t look impressive when you pull up, but inside, everything was clean. The flooring looks new; the bathroom is basic but clean, with no mildew. Shampoo and body wash were provided, the toilet was clean, and there were enough towels. The TV and A/C worked, and the little coffee machine was stocked properly. The bedding was fine. They’re not charging Ritz Carlton prices, so don’t expect Ritz Carlton.

Parking was limited, and when we arrived around 8 p.m., we had to leave the car on the street. Luckily, it was Sunday the next day, so there were no consequences for parking there. In the room, the blinds wouldn’t close all the way unless we pressed on them. Around 6 a.m., my boyfriend got up to use the restroom and spotted a cockroach in front of the TV while walking over. He freaks out over any bugs in his home, so we’re sure we didn’t bring it in. We checked out right after that. The bed was comfortable, but there were no towels when we arrived.
