Everyone working during our stay was friendly and accommodating, and Peggy was especially delightful. We had such a nice January visit, with a cozy fireplace and a hot tub right in our room. We’re already looking forward to coming back in summer for a riverside room, a view, and easy access to the river for boating. Thank you!

The walleye and prime rib became our new favorites, and breakfast was included with the stay too. The staff were so friendly and made sure we were comfortable. I booked this for my birthday, and it was just what I wanted: a whirlpool and fireplace in the room, plus restaurants, a wine bar, coffee shop, and little salon all in the same building. It’s close to Stillwater and has that cozy up north feel that took me back to younger days. We’d love to come back, especially in winter. Thanks! ---Willie and Carla

Peggy made us feel right at home, and even cooked the breakfast herself. The coffee was the best! We also loved the wine tasting, the gorgeous room, and all the thoughtful little details. We had an amazing experience and highly recommend this beautiful place.

Jessi made planning easy and was fantastic to work with. We held an open house for about 50 people in the beautiful Pennington Room for my mother’s celebration of life, and it fit us perfectly. Afterwards, the attached restaurant gave everyone an easy place to keep gathering. I highly recommend Afton House Inn.

The town has a rustic charm, and Stillwater is just a short, scenic drive up 95. For meals, there’s a restaurant in the inn and another within walking distance. My getaway was quiet and cozy, with gracious innkeepers, an in-room jacuzzi, and a warm breakfast ready when I woke up.
