We had a comfortable bed and a nice room, and the staff were great during our three-night stay. We usually choose Marriott and Fairfield because they’re predictable. The main reason for four stars is the remodel: there wasn’t construction noise, but protective plastic covered the hallway floors, and lots of water heaters and other equipment had been taken out and were piled out back. The pool is gone now. It was too cold for swimming this week, but I’d have been really disappointed if it had been warm.

As a regular Bonvoy member, I’d put this among the worst places I’ve stayed. The elevator crawled, and you couldn’t count on it taking you to the right floor. My mattress had a long, roughly two-inch-deep dip where I had to sleep, so I’m amazed I got any rest. The cable TV was so old I couldn’t connect to it. They were still fixing the outdated room layout, which made me wonder how the hotel was even open.

The staff were rude and disrespectful, and my family and I were treated horribly. Noise kept us from resting, but the assistant manager wouldn’t help or try to accommodate us. We were lied about and told to leave. Mr. Thomas, the assistant manager, said he could care less. It was the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had, and I’ll NEVER stay here again.

Service was good, but the hotel quality appalled me, especially since it costs nearly the same as the other Fairfield in Southaven. The elevator barely worked, housekeeping never came during my stay, there was mold in the bathrooms, and the AC units were poor. I can see why this was the only Marriott property available for my last-minute work trip.

Brittney was so kind and courteous to us. She gave gift bags to all the kids we brought on our trip across the country, and let us gather in the lobby. She gave us the best service!
