Quality Inn Southaven - Memphis South

We paid $120 for a Saturday night, plus a $100 deposit that you get back if you don't trash the room. The location is everything, with everything within walking distance. Everyone I dealt with was kind, and the room was immaculate. After our long trip, my family just wanted sleep, and we slept right through breakfast. I'd definitely stay again.

I left my pouch in the room when I checked out, and they kept it safe for two weeks until I came back through. It had my phone, cash, credit cards, and plenty of other things inside. These are very honest people. The rooms at Choice Hotel are clean and comfortable as always, and breakfast was good, with Jimmy Dean egg and sausage sandwiches. Choice Hotels are the best.

The only clean area I saw was the front lobby. I booked two nights but left after one because of the condition of the motel, and I couldn't cancel the reservation. The carpet was filthy, as were the curtains and furniture. The headboard was greasy and stained, the dresser drawer was broken and wouldn't shut, and the vent was exposed. There was dust along the carpet baseboards, and the smoke detector had aluminum foil wrapped around it. This place needs a deep cleaning. I don't know how it got a four star rating.

Even with a 1:30 am check-in, the front desk clerk was friendly, alert, attentive, and welcoming. The bathroom was fresh and clean, and the sheets were the whitest and cleanest I've ever seen. We had booked an inexpensive smoking room, so I kept my expectations realistic, but the room didn't even smell like smoke from previous guests. I've stayed at much more expensive hotels in Europe and Miami and had lower standards and service. Well done for your customers! 😊
