A Walk in the Woods Bed and Breakfast

Flo made us feel right at home, and we’re already looking forward to coming back. My husband and I spent a three-day weekend here, and she made the stay feel magical and memorable. She’s kind, smart, and so accommodating, especially with my broken foot that hadn’t quite healed yet. We stayed in the first-floor queen suite. Thank you, Flo, for such a lovely time!

The location was great for walking the dogs and seeing deer, turkeys, horses, and chickens. There was also an easy walk to the beach, and it’s a wonderful choice if you enjoy nature. We all loved it, dogs included, and would happily return. We stayed in the Oak Room so we could bring our dogs. It had two bathrooms, two couches, two armchairs, a queen bed, and two twin beds in the loft, along with a kitchen with a sink, full-size refrigerator, island counter, and kitchen table. The large colonial house feels relatively new but has an antique, vintage style, and the rooms are beautifully decorated, almost like stepping back in time. Flo was friendly and went out of her way to make us feel welcome. Breakfast came with fresh fruit, a hot dish, cake, yogurt, and granola. Everything was very clean, with plenty of towels, soap, shampoo, and conditioner.

The wraparound porch was my favorite spot. It’s so expansive, I could have sat out there all day. The breakfast our hostess served was wonderful, too. This lovely B&B on Long Island’s north fork has a beautiful property and thoughtful decor that gives it a Victorian feel. Our large room had a private bath and was very clean and comfortable. It was quiet as well.

Flo is helpful in every way and a great hostess. She keeps the place clean and orderly, and makes wonderful eggs along with a nice spread of fruit, yogurt, grains, and more for breakfast. It was a peaceful, private, comfortable stay.
