American Beech Hotel

We had a really enjoyable dinner outdoors with our precious girl, Sweet Sadie. Steve kept us warm with all the space heaters, and he and Ryan gave us excellent service. The chef’s entrees were delicious. I had the Duck Tagliatelle in a tasty Calabrian chili brown sauce with a surprising kick, while my other half enjoyed the blackened Mahi. We finished with a brownie sundae topped with bananas and mascarpone.

Our company has held two retreats at American Beech, one over the Holidays and another in August for our summer retreat, and both were outstanding. Ryan and his team helped host us, and everyone raved about the rooms’ style, space, cleanliness, and attention to detail. The private dining room was just right for our daily meetings. We could take calls or relax in the comfortable outdoor area during breaks, away from the main meeting space. Being right in the heart of Greenport made it easy for the team to walk into town for coffee, the bookstore, the marina, or time together in the evening. The location also made it easy to arrange offsite activities, from an art-making class and wine tours to beach visits and fitness experiences. We’re an influencer marketing agency and wanted inspiration and ideas; American Beech gave us a great setting and access to North Fork experiences. The hotel’s cuisine was excellent for catering breakfast, lunch, or dinner, and they also graciously let us bring in food from other restaurants, so we could vary meals over the multi-day retreat. The room was full of thoughtful touches, from the deep soaking tub with bath salts and face and eye masks to the luxurious rain shower. The bed and pillows were wonderfully comfortable, and I loved the little tchotchkes. Breakfast came to the room in a charming picnic basket, and the team checked in regularly to make sure things were right without being intrusive. The location made it easy to walk around town and enjoy the area. Service was outstanding, and the stay felt both relaxing and special. I had an amazing time and would happily return. We’ll be back!

Even with Greenport bustling just outside, our room was spotless, spacious, quiet, and restful. It was beautifully decorated, with small touches that felt luxurious without being stuffy. The hotel has a special boutique charm, and the staff made us feel welcome and cared for from the moment we arrived. You’re right in the heart of Greenport, steps from restaurants, shops, and the waterfront, yet it still feels like a peaceful retreat. We can’t wait to come back to American Beech.
