Newagen Seaside Inn

The view from our room was wonderful, and the flowers were beautiful. Breakfast was delicious, and there were cookies, blueberry coffee, and lots of amenities. The women at the front desk were very nice and friendly. Long paths around the property and by the water felt so serene. I wish we’d had more time to enjoy everything this resort offers.

We had a relaxing stay last month with good friends. Our upstairs room had a big deck, and the bed was very comfortable. We used the small fridge and made our own mojitos and charcuterie board on the deck, which was the perfect setting. The Inn felt peaceful and relaxing, and the staff were friendly, especially the bartenders and their wonderful cocktails. Everyone seemed to love their jobs and wanted guests to get the best service. The food was fabulous. We also did yoga overlooking the harbor with a wonderful teacher who checked how each of us felt to gauge the level of practice. That was perfect. Paddies at the front desk for boats were available; we wish we’d used them, but next time. For a scenic, peaceful getaway with more things to do, great service, and people who love their work, I highly recommend it. The coastal maine botanical gardens, where the large trolls “Guardians of the Golden seeds” are, made a great excursion.

We only had a day here, which wasn't nearly enough. The setting is lovely, with little islands dotted with shops and restaurants all around. Back at the resort, there’s a huge lawn, plenty of places to sit, games, and rowboats to take out on the water. Breakfast was a highlight: blueberry pancakes, properly good scrambled eggs, meats, waffles made at the station, a big bowl of fruit, and flaky pastries that reminded me of a Parisian croissant. Everyone on staff was welcoming. There’s also a restaurant for lunch and dinner, a late night bar, and daily activities like yoga, s’mores, and a lobster bake. We’ll be back.

After eloping at the town hall, we spent two nights here, and it already feels like home. On Tuesday they set up a gazebo for the lobster bake dinner, making a really intimate spot with harbour views. Abby, the manager, went out of her way to make the stay special, and every staff member was so kind. We loved the pub food, complimentary breakfast, and the cookies that seem to be around all the time. One evening there was a concert, which we could enjoy from our deck. This little Maine gem has so many thoughtful details. I can't wait to return.
