Howard Johnson by Wyndham Spartanburg - Expo Centr

I booked just one night at first because I wasn't sure what to expect. The room was clean and odor-free, the bed was comfortable, and I didn't see any bugs, despite some earlier reviews mentioning them. I was pleased enough to book a second night. There are minor cosmetic flaws, but nothing that would put me off staying again. Breakfast wasn't anything special, so I walked next door to Waffle House instead. I'd definitely come back.

It's easy to get on and off the interstate, and nearby fast food places and gas stations are close by. There's not much traffic to deal with, and of the hotels at this interchange, this is clearly the best. The rooms were updated and the bed was comfortable. The rooms are cleaned, with daily housekeeping, and there's continental breakfast. Entry is secured after 9 p.m. The staff were friendly and seemed to care about guests. My only issue was a couple-inch gap under the door that let sound in and out. I'm not sure why it's like that, but it was minor. I'd definitely stay again.

Housekeeping was pleasant, and the room was spacious overall. It looked decently maintained and updated, and the king bed was the best part. The tiny pillows weren't good, and there was trash under the couch. The front desk woman was pretty standoffish when we checked in and whenever we had a question. We stayed 6/19-6/21. The prices were the best in town, so I'd stay again.

The room was very clean, a good size, and had comfortable bedding. Customer service was very good, and we enjoyed our stay. The place looked a little iffy walking in, and the location felt a bit sketchy. There's no pool, either. Still, for the value, we'd definitely stay again. $150 for two nights isn't bad.
