The room smelled awful, with a dirty floor and sheets marked with blood. The mini fridge didn't work and had a horrible odor of its own. Towels were so poor that they left lint all over my body. The room's condition and cleanliness were way below an acceptable standard. My stay at Red Roof Inn Spartanburg - I-26 was frustrating and terrible, the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

The mattress was good, but the bed squeaked whenever I rolled over and I didn't sleep well. The pillows were flat and hard. In our double queen room there were only two bath towels, two hand towels, and two washcloths, and no Kleenex. The towels need bleaching or replacing, and the tub needs a proper scrub. There wasn't a coffee maker in the room.

The room was dirty, with nasty walls and a bathroom that didn't look clean. We didn't use the shower, but one spot looked like it had once been wet and had mold on it. The beds were hard and very springy. We had a dog and were put upstairs. When I asked for a downstairs room, they said no. There weren't many cars in the lot at the time, so I'm sure the downstairs rooms weren't all booked. I wasn't pleased.

They went as far as letting us use an extra shower so we could leave on time and meet our deadline. My group and I were accommodated really well. Thanks so much, we can't wait to come back and see you again.

We stayed Friday night on 10/18/25, my wife, our two pups, and me. I'd read the reviews and nearly decided against it, but the guy at the desk was so nice and let us see the room first. For $80 plus a $30 refundable pet fee, it couldn't be beat. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. I'd stay again. Thanks, West Virginia Folks.
