Spartanburg Marriott

My room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable, though the decor could use an update. I was placed across from the ice machine and near the elevators, and since I was there for business, I asked the front desk after dinner if I could switch rooms. They said the hotel was fully booked that night, then immediately offered complimentary breakfast during my stay for the inconvenience. The staff, from reception to the dining areas, were top notch. Thank you so much! ❤️

The staff were attentive, and the free parking underneath was great. The rooms were decent, if a little worn, and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was available, though pricey compared with nearby options. We were there for an event, and after the show the kitchen kept telling people it was closed, while the bar shut down kind of early too. They could have made a lot more money with better preparation. Drinks were mixed only so-so, but tolerable. I’d stay again for another event, but I’d go to a local bar or somewhere serving food afterward, maybe both.

We used to come here for dinner and the bar, but we won’t return. I went to the public restroom by the bar and, when I came out, was told I’d be charged with trespassing. A man I didn’t know approached people claiming to be security and demanding they follow him, though he had no badge or uniform. There were no trespassing signs, and I hadn’t committed a crime. The front desk woman also had a major attitude and sounded like she hated being there. Very unprofessional.

Security questioned me about a break-in while I was inside the restroom, then accused me of being involved. I had entered through the building’s public entrance and hadn’t seen any signs, tape, or notices saying the restroom was closed or restricted. I explained that, but was told I’d be trespassed from the property. I wasn’t initially asked to leave. I feel I was treated unfairly and accused without cause, especially since there were no visible warnings.
