Studio 6 – Spindale, NC – Forest City

I was there for six days and got good service the whole time. The staff were really helpful and accommodating, even jumping my car without hesitation. The room and linens were very clean. I enjoyed staying here and would happily come back when I’m in town.

The motel is down a small dead-end side street, with no restaurants nearby. I won’t be coming back. The parking lot had trash scattered around, and I got the impression some people live there permanently. Outside my room, the marijuana smell was sickening. The room was being remodeled, but it wasn’t finished: the trim around the door hadn’t been installed or painted, and the doorknob was the only lock. The next morning I saw a couple of cockroaches on the bathroom ceiling. The tub and towels were stained, and the water pressure was very low. I’m not sure where the 5/5 reviews came from. If I hadn’t already paid $80, I would’ve gone somewhere else.

Lisa at the front desk was sweet and professional, and Shannon from housekeeping was very nice and respectful. Patel, the owner, is nice too, and the place is clean. Definitely recommend it, 100 percent.

We had a nice stay. The room was clean and comfortable, and the place is away from busy areas with easy access in and out.
