We stayed here in January for the Winter Games, and this B & B was amazing. They’d thought of everything. The made-from-scratch, three-course breakfast was impressive, and we chose to have it delivered to our room. Bridget, the chef and host, brought it up and was lovely. I also loved the smell of chocolate chip cookies baking in the morning and afternoon. They were packaged by the front door for guests to grab on their way out. Our king bed was very comfy, and the room had a full bathroom, a veranda, and a whirlpool spa tub. We’ll definitely come back. I bet it’s even prettier in spring and summer.

There aren’t many places to go out for dinner in the off-season, but this made for a lovely late-winter getaway anyway. After relaxing in the jet tub, we happily ate cookies in bed. Bridget also made sure the breakfasts were brought to our room, and both were terrific. It was just what we needed, thank you!

We went up to Lake Okoboji for a winter break, and my spouse and I were both delighted with our first visit to the Oakwood Inn. It’s a really comfortable place, almost a modern take on an old-time inn, with cozy rooms and gas fireplaces. The common spaces are inviting, the innkeepers are warm and helpful, and breakfast was fresh and delicious. We plan to come back and see Iowa’s "Great Lakes" in another season.

The Den was a great hangout, with snacks, a fireplace, and a pool table, and our room’s fireplace made things extra cozy. Breakfast was delicious, and they were happy to accommodate a gluten free diet. Loved our stay so much, and I’d highly recommend it!

The highway view from this hotel is a dream if you’re into spotting cars. I saw the Bugatti La Voiture Noire here, the rarest car in the world, and this place gave me the chance. I really like this hotel. The rooms are nicely designed with luxury furniture, and the workers do everything, really everything, to provide great service. Five stars, clearly.
